Get hot naturally!
Where can you usually find me after a workout, foam rolling and mobility training? In the sauna:) More specifically inside my HigherDose infrared sauna blanket - the next best thing when you can't get a stand alone, full size sauna (it's on my bucket list for sure!)

What is an infrared sauna blanket?
Unlike a traditional sauna, infrared sauna blanket don’t heat the air around you. Instead, they raise the core body temperature directly and their users develop a more vigorous sweat at a lower temperature than users of traditional saunas.
While more research needed on infrared saunas specifically, there are some benefits in using them like a higher rate of a post workout recovery in athletes and physically active people, combating oxidative stress, chronic pain, and possibly weight loss and chronic fatigue. No adverse events were reported in any of the studies.
I set up the blanket on the massage table (putting a yoga mat on the floor underneath it works too), preheat it for ten minutes (on 6 or 7 - so i haven't had a need to go higher), put on the insert (it looks like a sleeping bag) on my fully dressed body (sweats, long sleeves and socks to prevent the burns and soak up the sweat) and climb into sauna blanket to relax for 30 minutes.
"Heat from within" - that's how i would describe it.
After a quick, cool shower and tons of water i feel:
soreness or any kind of aches or pains is gone
pleasant tiredness
sped up metabolism - i'm hungry!
improved circulation
stress reduction
overall heightened wellbeing
And this last point is the reason why i do it. Can i live without the sauna blanket? Yes, but knowing how good and relaxed and tranquil i feel afterwards it would be really hard to give up this luxury!
